Love-Fading Innocence

Headstone for Perry (1878-1879) and Laura (1876-1881) Hagar in Mooers Riverside (Old Town) Cemetery at Main Street (U.S. Route 11) and Hemmingford Road, on the north bank of the Great Chazy River, in Mooers, Clinton County, New York. Perry and Laura were children of James A. and Florence Francis Hagar, who are buried in a row next to their children. Oddly, Perry and Laura were born in different years and died 2-3 years apart, yet share a single grave marker. I wonder what happened to Perry’s original headstone?
